LSU Win Catapults UGA To Sixth In New AP Poll

NEW YORK – The University of Georgia is up to number six in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll released on Sunday. The Bulldogs (3-1, 2-0) beat SEC rival LSU (4-1, 1-1) 44-41 Saturday at Sanford Stadium, a win that catapulted UGA three spots in the poll. LSU dropped from number six to tenth in the new poll.

Alabama (4-0, 2-0) remained number one after their 25-0 shutout of Ole Miss. The Tide received 55 of 60 first place votes. The remaining five votes went to second-ranked Oregon.

Georgia Tech (3-1, 2-1) dropped out of the “others receiving votes” category after their 17-10 loss Thursday night to ACC Coastal Division rival Virginia Tech.
