Cobb County Father Prepares To Bury His Children Poisoned By Their Mother

ATLANTA (WAOK)-Mark Edge was planning to raise his two children, 13 yr old Jaelen and 10 yr old Faith, once he had custody from his estranged wife Marilyn.  The couple was divorced in 2007.

Sunday, September 15, 2013 while he was waiting for word on where to pick up the children he received instead the worst news any parent can imagine. A police officer informed Mark that his two children were gone-poisoned to death by their mother while in California.

Edge told WAOK’s Derrick Boazman he is extremely  distraught and must now  bury his two children. The family had no insurance.

Willie Watkins Funeral Home is working with Edge to bury the children for a nominal fee. Donations are being accepted at the Willie Watkins location on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. in the West End or  you can donate by phone with a credit card or debit card. Call 770-836-0044 if you can help.

The funeral for Jaelen and Faith will be Thursday , September 25, at the Salvation Army Church on Metropolitan Parkway.

Marilyn Edge is expected to be arraigned for the murders of her children on October 23.
