ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) — Police say a man who fell more than 60 feet from an upper-level platform at Atlanta’s Turner Field onto a parking lot during a baseball game has been identified as Ronald Homer, 29, of Conyers.  Conyers died at the hospital after falling about 65 feet, authorities said.

Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee confirmed the death of Conyers late Monday.

Police said Conyers  fell before 9 p.m. during a rain delay during Monday night’s game between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies.

Chafee said witnesses described the fall as accidental. He was not sure whether wet conditions contributed to the fall. Chafee also said the Fulton County Medical Examiner would examine the body to determine if alcohol may have been a factor in the death.
