ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – Georgia’s sales tax holiday is expected to bring more shoppers to stores this weekend.

Officials say customers won’t have to pay the sales tax on many back-to-school supplies, including clothing, computer equipment, athletic gear and other items.

Roadwork is being suspended for the sales tax holiday. G-DOT is shutting down construction projects within a five-mile radius of shopping malls. This will help parents as they drive to go buy items for the new school year.
