DB starts off the show by talking about the near tragic situation with Usher’s five-year old son. If you have not heard the story already, 5-year-old Usher Raymond V fell to the bottom of the pool and became stuck in the drain. Thankfully near by workers heard the cries of his aunt who was at the pool with the young boy, was able to pull him out and perform CPR. He was later taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite where doctors say that he will recover.
Today it was announced that the 5-year-old’s mother and Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, was granted an emergency custody hearing for Friday. The near drowning of her son come nearly a year after the death of her 11-year-old son
Kile Glover. He died after being critically injured in a boating accident at Lake Lanier. In a statement, she says it would be in the best interest of the boys to stay with her rather than them staying with third-party-caregivers while Usher is on the road. Would you have done the same thing if you were in the same shoes as Tameka, or do you feel she is taking it too far?
We also asked listeners to share their experiences with sharing custody with their former spouses or partners. Click below to hear their reactions to the story and how they can relate.
