Dekalb County School Superintendent Michael Thurmond Talks Education and The National Black Arts Festival Reignites Passion For Black Arts

Continuing our Back to School push, this weekend Cynthia sits down with Dekalb County School Superintendent Michael Thurmond  talks class size, free lunch, budget and the direction of a system in turmoil  as school starts for Dekalb county and we are in the middle of the National Black Arts Festival thats running through  September.  Festival chair Sonya  Halpern visits to talk  the history and vision where the likes of Maya Angelou, Wynton Marsalis,  Spike Lee and  Gladys Knight have shared their talents.
