Jury Selection Continues In Sneiderman Trial

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) — Jury selection is continuing in the trial of Andrea Sneiderman, who’s accused of lying under oath and hindering the investigation into her husband’s killing.

Lawyers for both sides spent hours Monday questioning potential jurors about their knowledge of the case and their ability to be objective. Jury selection resumed Tuesday morning.

DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams said Monday that Sneiderman is no longer under house arrest and ordered her GPS ankle monitor removed. He also reduced the amount of her bond.

Sneiderman’s husband, Rusty Sneiderman, was fatally shot in November 2010 outside a suburban Atlanta preschool.

Andrea Sneiderman’s former boss Hemy Neuman was convicted in the killing but was found mentally ill.

Prosecutors initially said Sneiderman arranged her husband’s killing, but murder charges against her were dropped last week.
