Mo Ivory: If Juror B29 Cared So Much About Trayvon, Why Did She Set Zimmerman Free?!
I don’t want to hate Juror B29.
She’s a Hispanic woman I can relate to. She was sincere. And the mother of 8 children a.k.a. Maddy was clearly affected by Trayvon Martin‘s death.
I’m just so mad at her right now!
If you think George Zimmerman got away with murder, why did you vote to allow him to?!
I mean, I was throwing things at the television as she was being interviewed by Robin Roberts!
And don’t do it. Don’t tell me about the duties of a juror, about “it was her job,” about “she couldn’t do anything with the law she was facing,” that she had no choice!
She was bullied by Juror B37 to apply the law the way the others wanted her to apply it and not to ask specific questions about reduced manslaughter charges that could have been substantiated by the evidence presented.
Juror B29 as much as said the evidence showed he murdered Martin; and she flat-out said: “George Zimmerman got away with murder!”
Prayers again for Tracy Martin, Sybrina Fulton and their entire family. When do they get a day of peace? These new revelations by Juror B-29 have to be a horror for them.
And Fulton had this to say about B29’s interview: “It is devastating for my family to hear the comments from Juror B29, comments which we already knew in our hearts to be true. That George Zimmerman literally got away with murder. This new information challenges our nation once again to do everything we can to make sure that this never happens to another child.”
B29 told Roberts that she owes Martin’s family an apology and I agree.
Do you understand that if she would have held her vote, there would have been a hung jury, a mistrial and Zimmerman would have to be tried again?
That type of an opportunity would allow the prosecution to get themselves together in a more organized fashion and finally prove their case.
I am going to pray for Maddy because she is in real pain. I know she wonders if she should have done differently. She is a human being, a mother, a woman, a minority, a person with a conscience and a heart for kids. She has sons.
However, I am going to be angry with her for some time.
But I am going to be angry with Zimmerman far longer.
