ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – Prosecutors are seeking to dismiss murder charges against a woman whose husband was shot to death outside a suburban Atlanta preschool.

DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James told a judge Friday that he wanted to drop charges of felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault against Andrea Sneiderman. A judge was weighing whether to accept the request.

Sneiderman’s husband was gunned down in November 2010. Her boss, Hemy Neuman, was convicted in the shooting earlier this year, and prosecutors had initially claimed Andrea Sneiderman wanted her husband dead in part so she could collect a life insurance policy and be with Neuman.

She has pleaded not guilty and has repeatedly denied any romantic involvement with Neuman. She is still facing lesser charges including lying to police.
