ATLANTA (WAOK) – Independence Day is the perfect time to bring out the grill, and to make sure that holiday food doesn’t make you sick. Andrea Rumschlag with the Cleveland Clinic says cut up vegetables, hamburger meat, potato salads and macaroni salads can easily take a turn toward dangerous territory if not closely watched. Rumschlag says it’s important not to leave food out in the heat too long. She recommends putting food in containers that can be placed on ice.
