Atlanta Braves Homestand Highlights for Friday, June 28 – Thursday, July 4 include Chipper Jones #10 retirement, alumni weekend festivities, and the Fourth of July game against the Marlins. All the details are below.

Atlanta Braves Alumni Weekend

Friday, June 28 at 7:35 p.m. vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

*Gates will open at 4:35 p.m.

· Chipper Jones Uniform Number Retirement: Fans are strongly encouraged to be in their seats no later than 6:45 p.m. in order not to miss a minute of the action. The hallowed No. 10 will be the 11th number retired by the Braves during a special on-field ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m.

· Atlanta Braves Alumni Weekend Friday Festivities: Prior to Friday night’s game, Braves alumni will meet and greet with fans for an autograph session from 5:30-6:30 p.m. throughout the ball park. Attendees scheduled to appear:

o Jose Alvarez, Andy Ashby, Paul Assenmacher, Steve Avery, Steve Bedrosian, Mike Bell, Mike Bielecki, Sid Bream, Brad Clontz, Adrian Devine, Johnny Estrada, Marvin Freeman, Ron Gant, Jesse Garcia, Tom Glavine, Marquis Grissom, Chris Hammond, Terry Harper, Darren Holmes, Randy Johnson, Clarence Jones, Brian Jordan, Ryan Klesko, Charlie Leibrandt, Javy Lopez, Greg McMichael, Damian Moss, Dale Murphy, Jim Nash, Denny Neagle, CJ Nitkowski, Greg Olson, Marty Perez, Curtis Pride, Ron Reed, Pete Smith, Zane Smith, Craig Skok and Mark Wohlers.

· Chipper Jones Braves Hall of Fame Portrait Poster Giveaway presented by SunTrust: 45,000 fans will take home a replica poster of the portrait presented to Chipper Jones for his induction into the Braves Hall of Fame.

· Braves Strike Out Hunger Fridays Presented by Kroger: The Braves will host a food drive prior to every Friday home game during the 2013 season to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Fans can donate 20 cans of food or $20 at the Strike Out Hunger Tent and receive an autograph from a Braves pitcher. Limit of one signature per donation. On Friday, June 28, fans will have the opportunity to get an autograph from Braves pitcher Kris Medlen in Monument Grove from 6:35 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. For a list of items needed and future food drive collection dates, visit braves.com/hunger

· Friday Night Rising Stars Series: The Atlanta Braves Friday Night Rising Stars Series provides an opportunity for up-and-coming bands ready to rock and entertain thousands of fans at Turner Field, a stage to perform prior to select home games as well as postgame during the 2013 season. On June 28, the Braves welcome The Chris Lane Band, to Fan Plaza as well as a special post-game performance before fireworks on the field.

· Sport Clips’ “Chop”: Every Friday home game during the 2013 season, Sport Clips Haircuts is cutting hair for charity. Sport Clips stylist will give haircuts to fans at Top of the Chop for a $5 minimum donation to the Atlanta Braves Foundation. Enjoy a Braves game view from the Top of the Chop and a Sport Clips haircut while making a difference in our community. Sport Clips.

· Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Georgia Lottery: Enjoy the Braves game and a spectacular fireworks show set to music following every Braves Friday home game.

 

Saturday, June 29 at 4:05 p.m. vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

*Gates will open at 1:05 p.m.

· Atlanta Braves Alumni Weekend Saturday Festivities: Fans will have the opportunity to watch a matchup of legendary proportions as alumni faceoff for the Legends Softball Game at 2:10 p.m. Gates will open at 1:05 p.m. and fans are invited to watch alumni batting practice and team introductions prior to the softball game. Scheduled to take the field:

o Jose Alvarez, Andy Ashby, Steve Avery, Steve Bedrosian, Mike Bell, Mike Bielecki, Sid Bream, Tony Brizzolara, Brad Clontz, Johnny Estrada, Marvin Freeman, Jesse Garcia, Luiz Gomez, Chris Hammond, Terry Harper, Randy Johnson, Clarence Jones, Ryan Klesko, Charlie Leibrandt, Greg McMichael, Damian Moss, Jim Nash, Denny Neagle, CJ Nitkowski, Greg Olson, Marty Perez, Curtis Pride, Craig Skok, Pete Smith, Zane Smith, John Smoltz and Mark Wohlers.

· Braves Wives Toy Drive: The Braves Wives will collect new and unwrapped toys in Monument Grove from the time gates open until the end of the first inning from June 28-June 30. The toys will be distributed to youth at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta during the Braves annual Christmas in July hospital visits. Fans who donate a toy with a minimum value of $10 will be entered into a drawing for unique Braves autographed memorabilia.

 

Sunday, June 30 at 1:35 p.m. vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

· Atlanta Braves Alumni Weekend Sunday Festivities: Braves alumni will return on Sunday for photo sessions in Fan Plaza beginning at 11:30 a.m. Scheduled to appear:

o Jose Alvarez, Andy Ashby, Steve Avery, Steve Bedrosian, Mike Bell, Sid Bream, Tony Brizzolara, Brad Clontz, Adrian Devine, Johnny Estrada, Marvin Freeman, Marquis Grissom, Chris Hammond, Terry Harper, Randy Johnson, Clarence Jones, Javy Lopez, Greg McMichael, Damian Moss, Jim Nash, Denny Neagle, CJ Nitkowski, Marty Perez, Curtis Pride, Craig Skok and Zane Smith.

· Tribute to the Troops: FOX Sports South will partner with the Atlanta Braves on Sunday, June 30, to host 150 members of our nation’s military, including soldiers from Fort Benning and the Georgia Army National Guard, for Tribute to the Troops, benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project. Governor Nathan Deal, Mayor Kasim Reed, Major General Jim Butterworth, the Adjutant General of the Georgia National Guard, FOX Sports South SVP and General Manager Jeff Genthner, Braves team members, and Braves General Manager Frank Wren will be in attendance.

· Read Across America at Turner Field: The Atlanta Braves and the National Education Association are partnering to promote Read Across America, a nationwide reading awareness program. Join Braves Alumni CJ Nitkowski and Sid Bream at a Read-a-Thon for children 5 – 8 years old prior to the Braves vs. Diamondbacks game. Each child receives two complimentary Braves tickets. The event will take place at the Home Plate Patio at 11:00 a.m.

· Georgia Public Library System Library Card Registration: Join the Braves and the Georgia Public Library System for Home Run Readers, the Atlanta Braves new summer reading program. Children who visit their library, read a selected book and complete an online activity will be eligible for a free Braves game ticket. Visit the Georgia Public Library tent in Monument Grove on Sunday to sign up for a Pines library card that is valid at most Georgia Public Library branches.

· Braves Wives Toy Drive: The Braves Wives will collect new and unwrapped toys in Monument Grove from the time gates open until the end of the first inning from June 28-June 30. The toys will be distributed to youth at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta during the Braves annual Christmas in July hospital visits. Fans who donate a toy with a minimum value of $10 will be entered into a drawing for unique Braves autographed memorabilia.

· MLB/PEOPLE Magazines’ Tribute to Heroes: MLB and PEOPLE Magazine are honoring veterans and military service members in our community through its Tribute to Heroes contest. One military service member will be selected by fans to represent the Atlanta Braves during the 2013 All-Star Game on July 16. The Braves will honor Brian Hicks and Thomas Lewis as the military nominees during an on-field presentation prior to the game.

· Hometown Hero: During the 6th Inning the Braves will pay tribute to Hometown Hero Staff Sergeant Keith Jones of Bluff City, TN from the United States Air Force.

Kids Run The Bases: Presented by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, we invite all kids 14 and under to run the bases after every regular season Sunday home game. Just meet at the Hank Aaron ramp at aisle 129 on the Field Level.

· Coca-Cola Two-for-$30 Tuesdays: Two tickets for $30 in the Club Level Pavilion every Tuesday, fans save up to 50%.

Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration: Enjoy the Braves game and a spectacular fireworks show set to music in celebration of the Fourth of July holiday.

· Independence Day Celebration:

o Homegrown country rocker, Corey Smith, will perform the National Anthem as well as a post-game set prior to the “All American Fireworks Spectacular,” presented by Georgia Lottery.

o A giant American flag will extend the outfield held by Braves game day staff members.

o During the 6th Inning the Braves will pay tribute to a local “Hometown Hero” from the United States Military.

o Timothy Miller from the Atlanta Opera will perform God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch.

· “All American Fireworks Spectacular,” presented by Georgia Lottery: An extended post-game spectacular will feature a dazzling display of pyrotechnics, choreographed to patriotic music, that will light up the Atlanta skyline in red, white and blue.

· Holeman & Finch Burger Ticket Package: New to Turner Field in 2013, the Holeman & Finch Burger is being served up at three locations throughout the ballpark. · 50/50 Raffle: The Atlanta Braves Foundation will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets electronically throughout Turner Field until the end of the sixth inning. Stationary kiosks can be found at aisles 132 and handhelds will be carried by the 50/50 team. 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

· Coca-Cola Two-for-$30 Tuesdays: Two tickets for $30 in the Club Level Pavilion every Tuesday, fans save up to 50%.

· All You Can Eat Seats: For as low as $50 for group tickets on Super Value games and $60 at the gate, fans can enjoy unlimited smoked BBQ sandwiches, chicken wings, all beef franks, potato salad, peanuts, popcorn, chocolate chip cookies, Coca-Cola products, and draft beer.

· College and AAA Discount: Two Upper Box tickets for the price of one with a valid college or AAA ID card.
