Jarvis Davis: Chad Ocho Ohno goes to jail
As we all know Chad Johnson has been one of the most entertaining wide receivers we have seen in the past ten years. The second round pick out of Oregon State has had some memorable moments that I will never forget, from the Hall of Fame jacket to him doing the riverdance after scoring a touchdown. Of course Johnson would not be able to get away with all these antics if he wasn’t a productive player on the field, he went on a stretch run where he had 5 consecutive seasons with 1,200 plus yards. That is a pretty good feat considering the fact that back then it wasn’t the 7 on 7 passing league that we have today where quarterbacks throw for 5,000 yards in their sleep. After 2007, Johnson would not come close to the 1,200 yard mark and that’s when he started to trend down hill. In recent years Chad has gone from a reality star to a reality bum when reports came out about him head-butting his now ex-wife Evelyn Lozada. She has since gone to therapy and now Chad is on his way to Broward County jail, because Mr. Johnson did a post-verdict celebration that did not bode well with the judge. Now one thing about me, I am not going to sit behind this computer and act like I did not laugh when he slapped his lawyer on the butt, and I commend his lawyer for actually keeping a straight face when he did it. Johnson tried to celebrate one time too many, and instead of a slap on the wrist 15 yard penalty , the judge then rendered him a 30-day sentence. I cant imagine the thoughts that ran through his mind when the officer slapped the cuffs on him. I think there are two thing he can take from this: 1.Dont slap another man on his butt 2. Don’t do it in front of a female judge in court.
