Gina Chappin was recently named Senior Director of Communications and Brand Management for the playoff.
Chappin is owner of Dolce Sports Media, whose contracts include overseeing media operations for the 100th Rose Bowl Game and the 16th BCS National Championship Game, both to be played in Pasadena, Calif. in January 2014. Chappin has facilitated media relations and branding efforts for the Rose Bowl Game since 2007. At that time, she became the first full-time, senior staff member for media relations in the history of the Rose Bowl Game along with becoming the first female director of media for a Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game. Among other duties, she manages the games day-to-day public relations efforts, media messaging and communications strategy, collateral design and implementation and game-week media services.
She is one of the highest ranking women within the college bowl system. She grew up playing sports and it’s been a dream come true to be a part of this.
