Calling in to Gametime to speak about his decision to hire Budenholzer and what the future holds for the Atlanta Hawks was the President of Basketball Operations and GM Danny Ferry.

Ferry on Budenholzer: “Pops referred to him as the second head coach, he has a high basketball IQ.”

Ferry on Josh Smith: “Josh will have decisions to make this summer, and we’ll have decisions to make. It will be interesting to see how his summer unfolds.”

On attracting free agents: “It’s about winning and it’s about money. Players will make decisions on those two things, but the city of Atlanta sells itself.”
