Wednesday WindDown is Back

ATLANTA (WAOK)-You know Spring has officially arrived when the Wednesday WindDown series of free concerts get underway at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. The 15th season of the concert series got underway at the beginning of May. Just like the last five years, WAOK sponsors the concerts on the third week of the month.

A crowd of a thousand people enjoyed the Masterpiece Band perform a selection of hits from several genres including R and B, Urban, Disco and Dance.

Past performers include Ken Ford, Joey Sommerville, Melvin Miller, Marcus Johnson, Bernard Lynette, Steven Charles, Bobby Lyle, Phil Davis and many more!

Remember to bring a chair or lounge in the grass. Food and beverages are available for purchase around the amphitheatre and at Googie Burger, located next to the Fountain of Rings.  Alcoholic beverages and glass containers may not be brought into the Park, but are available for purchase on-site. All coolers, baskets and backpacks are subject to security check.
