ATLANTA (WAOK)-Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed told a group of reporters during a roundtable discussion at City Hall on Monday that he has taken notice of the growing incidents of “bump and rob” crimes and he is going to act.  The mayor met with members of the media and entertained questions on everything from security for the upcoming Peachtree Road Race,  the new Falcon stadium,  his relection prospects, crime and his thoughts on the gun control debate. Today we will share Mayor Reed’s view on the recent rash of crimes including “bump and rob” car jackings and the recent theft of an iPhone from a CNN anchor.

Mayor Reed promised to use all resources at his disposal to make sure participants and observers of the 4th of July Peachtree Road Race will be safe.
