ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that burned for nearly 24 hours and destroyed a restaurant south of Atlanta.
Fire officials say Hodges Legends Fine Foods in the College Park area caught fire around 5 p.m. Wednesday and continued to burn into the afternoon Thursday.
Witness Elizabeth Green said a band was getting ready to rehearse in the restaurant when smoke was seen coming out of the wall.
Fire officials decided to tear down the structure and knock out hot spots in the hopes that the building would not reignite.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
