ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – Authorities have identified a woman and her grandchild who were killed in a car accident in DeKalb County.

Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish says 57-year-old Alicia Moxley, of Lithonia, and 3-year-old Jordan Haynes died at the scene of a crash that authorities say was caused by a man who fled from a traffic stop Wednesday night. Police say a 17-year-old girl who was driving, a 58-year-old man and two boys, both under the age of 7, were also hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say a 27-year-old Jeremiah Warthen, of Lithonia, rammed a patrol car and fled from authorities. Police were searching for him when they discovered the wreckage.

Police say Warthen faces more than 10 charges, including vehicular homicide. Parish says he’s scheduled to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
