MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Voters northwest of Atlanta have approved $773.3 million for the Cobb County and Marietta school districts.
Residents on Tuesday voted in favor of the 1-cent special sales tax for education. The measure passed by a margin of about 57 percent to 43 percent
The Marietta Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/WD9cJN) that Cobb County will collect about $717.8 million, and Marietta $55.4 million
The money will be raised between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2018.
