ATLANTA (WAOK) – One way to make your St. Patrick’s Day feast a little healthier is to add some green foods to the lineup. Experts say cabbage is a good choice. It can help reduce inflammation as well as lower your stroke and heart attack risk. Kristin Kirkpatrick with the Cleveland Clinic says there are several other great green choices. Zucchini helps reduce the risk of developing cataracts, peas help manage blood sugar, seaweed helps reduce blood pressure and pistachios keep your risk of heart attack low. St. Patrick’s Day is this Sunday.
