It’s a hot Monday morning on the Mo Ivory Show. We started the week off with a blast discussing Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg’s, new book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead. The book, a look at women’s role in the workplace, Sandburg talks about ambition, self confidence and women leaning in to take their rightful place at the table. In a recent interview Sandberg stated, ”As long as we keep emphasizing how to fix the women, I don’t think we’re going to get very far.”
Do women have a harder time advancing in the workforce? Is being a Black women a double negative or a double positive? Do you find yourself “leaning in” at work as described by Sheryl Sandberg?
