Price Middle school students have started a new initiative called the Peace Club and are announcing the Love Not Hate movement. Wednesday night News and Talk 1380 Personality Derrick Boazman joined Price Middle School students, Atlanta Public Schools Brenda Muhammad and hundreds of concerned parents and community leaders for a forum kicking off the Peace and mentoring partnership.
“We’re basically here to saying to these young people we’re here to support you and we’re going to announce an initiative that I’m working with churches in that area that we’re going to have a presence in that school for mentoring purposes until the end of school” Boazman said.
The students of Price Middle School took it upon themselves to prevent future acts of violence at the school and on their campus. The Peace Club and the Love Not Hate movement will work in conjunction with Boazman’s mentoring program Operation Take Back in helping to steer youth away from violence.
