Dennis Rodman To Return To North Korea
(WAOK) — Dennis Rodman may be heading back to North Korea on a peace mission. A rep for the former NBA star tells TMZ Rodman really wants to use his new friendship with North Korean President Kim Jong Un to strengthen diplomacy between North Korea and the United States. The two made international headlines last week when they attended a basketball game together in North Korea.
Rodman angered many when he called Kim Jong Un’s late father, dictator Kim Jong-Il, a “great leader.” His rep now says Rodman regrets the praises, admitting he didn’t quite know the extent of the human rights violations that were linked to the former dictator. According to TMZ, Rodman plans to return to North Korea in the next six months to host another kids basketball clinic and plans to use his next visit to broker peace. Rodman currently appears on the new season of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” The reality competition airs Sundays on NBC.
