ATLANTA (WAOK) – First Lady Michelle Obama wants America’s students to get more exercise during the school day. She’s launching a program called Let’s Move! Active Schools. The program is a new part of the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative to reduce childhood obesity rates by getting families to eat healthier foods and exercise more. Mrs. Obama told a crowd of students and teachers in Chicago our children can’t reach their full potential if they’re not physically active every day. The Let’s Move! website says only one in three American kids is active every day. Research shows active kids have better concentration in school and do better on tests.
