ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – Authorities are investigating after a Georgia state trooper shot a man after a traffic stop in metro Atlanta.

Officials say the gunfire happened late Thursday morning on Fulton Industrial Boulevard, after the trooper made a traffic stop.

Authorities say the trooper encountered two people, and shot one of them. The trooper was not injured. The condition of the man who was shot was not immediately known.

Few other details were available early Thursday afternoon.
