Nevada Wolf Pack v Northwestern Wildcats

Former Nevada coach Chris Ault joined The Opening Drive this morning and talked about his former QB Colin Kaepernick.  They talked about how Colin had a similar situation to his current situation at Nevada where he had to replace the incumbent QB.  He also chatted about his “Pistol” offense and how it is revolutionizing the NFL now.

“He’s one of those guys who understands his role in the game plan. For example, when the Niners played Green Bay and he runs for 181 yards, most of it off  the read. The next week, they’re running the same situation with the read and Gore runs for 2 TDs and Kap only gets the one scramble. So I think whatever Coach Harbaugh and Greg Roman have up their sleeve, Kap will fit into that game plan. I think there is more to come from the Pistol, I don’t know what how much they have adopted of it. But I think Kap will adapt to that game plan.”
