WASHINGTON, DC (WAOK)-Day Two of Inauguration preparation begins with an appointment to meet Georgia Representative David Scott who has allocated tickets for me to cover the event. We went to the Cannon Office Building to meet with Congressman Scott. Every Congressional Representative gets tickets to give to constituents to attend the presidential inauguration.
There are six ticket colors: red, green, gold, blue, orange, and yellow. You don’t find out where your tickets are located until you pick them up from your representative.
Day two also involved getting familiar with the public transportation system (Metro the best way to travel) so we would know exactly where to go and what to do to make our experience at the inauguration memorable.
Once we picked up tickets to the ceremony from Congressman Scott, he surprised us with an extra ticket to the Georgia Inaugural Ball.
Here is my photo scrap book of day two including photos of Congressman Scott’s office, and all of the people we saw at the Georgia Inaugural Ball including Gladys Knight, Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves, DeKalb County Commissioner Lee May, Atlanta Braves great Hank Aaron, Congressman Sanford Bishop and of course Congressman David Scott who was the host of the event .
