ATLANTA – (WAOK/AJC) – Atlanta police say a former member of the 30 Deep Gang who was implicated in the murder of a Grant Park bartender, 3 years ago, showed up at a local hospital on Monday with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe Johnquavious Hood is the one who shot and killed 27 year old John Henderson, during the robbery of the Standard Food and Spirits Grill in January of 2009. Detectives say Hood fingered another gang member, 17 year old Jonathan Redding as the triggerman, who was eventually convicted for the robbery and Henderson’s murder. Police say they didn’t have enough evidence to charge Hood, in the case. Hood, who was just released from prison last month, after serving time for an unrelated crime, told them he was shot while walking along Ralph David Abernathy, but didn’t offer any other clues as to who may have shot him.
