SPALDING COUNTY – (WAOK/AJC) – A Griffin man is being held without bond, charged with killing a 9-year old girl, who was visiting the home, where he lived. 40-year old Shane Collett was denied bail today when he appeared at a hearing in Spalding county. He’s accused of killing Skylar Dials, just days before Christmas. Prosecutors say they are awaiting a final report from the state’s crime lab, to determine the exact cause of death, although an autopsy indicates the child was strangled.
