ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – A new Facebook application may help users find out who has and is spreading the flu. The app, “Help, I have the Flu,” allows Facebook users to make a determination based on status updates. Along with finding places where friends might have checked in, the app also scans for such words as “flu,” “coughing” and “sneezing.” It also looks at late-night status updates as a sign that the friend may not be getting enough sleep and would be at greater risk of catching and spreading the flu. Users can notify friends that they have the potential to infect other people.
