ATLANTA (WAOK)-Georgia Representative David Scott and the Georgia State Society will host the 2013 Georgia State Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, January 20. The Georgia Ball is one of several balls to celebrate the second inauguration of President Barack Obama.
There will be a special guest performance by Georgia native Gladys Knight and a special appearance by Atlanta Braves baseball legend Hank Aaron.
The ball will feature everything Georgia from Georgia-inspired foods and drinks to lively musical entertainment. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend including members of the Georgia Congressional delegation and other elected officials.
The ball will be held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts Museum, 1250 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C.
