ATLANTA (WAOK) – - Researchers suggest that what shape the economy is in during a child’s infancy may be linked to their delinquent behavior later in life. They’ve found a strong correlation with children born during high unemployment during and after the 1980 and 1981-1982 recession and behavioral problems in adolescence. The authors note that unfavorable economic conditions during infancy may lead to circumstances that can affect the psychological development of the child. The research is published in “JAMA Psychiatry.”
