Today we’ll just take a look at some of the injuries we might have missed yesterday and update you on the ones that we mentioned.
– Dez Bryant is one that we did not mention. The Cowboys WR left the team’s season finale against the Redskins in a wheelchair after injuring his back. The receiver has been diagnosed with back spasms and should be good to go starting next season. He will have surgery to repair his fractured left index finger during this offseason as well.
– *Update From Yesterday* Jordy Nelson tells the media that he has “no doubts he’ll play” Saturday night against the Vikings on the bothersome knee. The Packers coach Mike McCarthy had voiced his doubts yesterday after Nelson went through a running session. Today, he was a full participant in practice.
– 49ers defensive end Justin Smith returned to practice after tearing his triceps in mid-December. Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com reports that Smith is wearing a brace on his arm to protect the injury from further damage. He’s expected to have surgery to repair the injury in the offseason.
