In this New Year, you will have responsibilities to provide a way of life for you and your family. Maintaining any kind of household there are things that you absolutely have pay to preserve life for you and your family. These are a few of those things:

You will have to pay rent or a mortgage.
You will have to pay light bill.
You will have to pay insurance.
You will have to pay car payments.
You will have to pay telephone bill.
You will have to pay credit cards.
You will pay to get your hair done.
You will pay for maintenance
You will pay for car repair
You will have to buy groceries
You will have to buy clothes
You will have to buy household supplies

Meeting these obligations alone does not give you financial security. You can live paycheck to paycheck or work two/three jobs to get this done.

Financial Freedom is developed over time. Wealthy people get wealthy by saving and investing, not by wages earned and spending. The Beans and Rice concept works for the bean and rice minded people.

Financial Freedom demands certain things of you. I call them “Financial Absolutes”

You absolutely have to create a budget.
You absolutely have to manage money.
You absolutely have to control spending.
You absolutely have to save money.
You absolutely have to invest money.
You absolutely have to eliminate debt.
You absolutely have to accumulate wealth.
You absolutely have to create retirement plan.

Becoming financially secure, requires that you do each of these things at your pace. Every dollar saved is a penny earn. Always focus on the fact that money begets money.
