ATLANTA (WAOK) – - Experts say when it comes to making “New Year’s resolutions” it’s best to keep them to yourself. With the year 2013 upon us, the journal “Scientific American” studied why most people don’t actually achieve their resolutions every New Year, whether it’s quitting smoking or finally organizing that messy garage. They say proclaiming your goals for the new year gives a “premature sense of completeness” — meaning it’s easier to give up and you essentially undermine your own attempt at the start. So experts say when someone asks you today what are your New Year’s resolutions, tell them sorry, you haven’t got any.
