Earlier this season, D.J. Hayden, a senior defensive back for the University of Houston Cougars, suffered a life threatening injury during practice. An injury that is commonly related to car accident victims, he tore a large vein that provides blood to his heart. Hayden returned to the team 6 weeks after the accident with a new outlook on life. Hayden joined GameTime co-host Rachel Baribeau for this weeks Pay It Forward Friday Segment to discuss the freak accident and how it has changed his life.
