ATLANTA (WAOK) – A wellness expert says the end of the year is a great time to throw out unhealthy foods and replace them with healthier choices. The Cleveland Clinic’s Dr. Michael Roizen suggests checking the product label for ingredients he calls the “Five Food Felons.” He says foods whose main ingredients are added sugars or syrups, grains that are not whole grains, and also trans fat or saturated fat can speed up the aging process. He also urges getting rid of your deep fryer and adding more fresh fruit and things like walnuts to your diet for a healthier New Year.
