For this NFL Injury Report, lets first talk a look at the Falcons. Good news with Roddy White coming back to practice on Thursday, a day after missing workouts with the knee issue. Although in a limited capacity, the fact Roddy is on the field means that Saturday is looking like a go for number 84.
On the flipside of that coin, William Moore missed yet another practice on Thursday with the hamstring issue. The Falcons safety has missed the past couple of weeks with the injury and is looking doubtful for Saturday night in Detroit.
For the Lions, Tight End Brandon Pettigrew has also missed the past two days with an ankle issue. The Detroit Free Press reports that Pettigrew has already been ruled out for Saturday, after missing last week’s game in Arizona.
Elsewhere in the NFL
Robert Griffin III came back to the practice field on Wednesday for the Redskins, after missing last week’s game with an LCL sprain. The rookie sensation is expected to play on Sunday against the Eagles says head coach Mike Shannahan. That is unless there is a setback on Friday.
The Eagles will try and stop RG3 and they get a little bit of good news in an otherwise extremely disappointing 2012. LeSean McCoy has been cleared to play Sunday after being out with a concussion the past few weeks.
Brian Urlacher has been out since the beginning of December with a hamstring injury and the Bears linebacker has not practiced the past couple of days in Chicago. It is likely that Urlacher won’t play Sunday against the Cardinals.
Adrian Peterson has missed the past two days of Vikings practice with abdomen and groin issues. However the potential record-breaking running back is not expected to miss this Sunday’s game in Houston. All Day needs 294 yards in his final two games to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season yardage record.
For the Cowboys, defensive tackle Jay Ratliff is still out with a groin injury and is likely not going to play again Sunday against the Saints. Dez Bryant did play last week after fracturing his left index finger two weeks ago against the Bengals. Bryant has practiced this week and will play on Sunday.
Ahmad Bradshaw did not play last week against the Falcons, in the Giants 34-0 loss inside the Georgia Dome with a foot injury. However, multiple outlets report that Tom Coughlin is expected to test out his running back during Friday’s practice.
