ATLANTA – (WAOK/CBSAtlanta) – An Atlanta municpal judge has ruled that Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and police chief George Turner will not have to testify, during the trial of more than two dozen Occupy Atlanta participants, who were arrested last year, for violating a city curfew at Woodruff Park. About half of the defendants arrested in October of 20-11, pleaded guilty to the charges, and were ordered to enter a diversion program for first time offenders. The other 28, which includes WAOK’s Derrick Boazman who hosts ‘Too Much Truth’ plan to fight the charges. The judge ruled after listening to a motion to quash the subpoenas for Reed, Turner and another city staffer.
