On Power Talk with Lorraine Jacques-White we decided to take time out to talk about Alcoholism in the African-American community. We felt that this discussion was necessary due to the recent car accident death of Jerry Brown Jr., of the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Brown was riding as a passenger with his teammate Josh Brent who was driving while intoxicated.
The discussion was about the lack of sensitivity on the issues of alcoholism in the African-American community, and how we can bring some attention its seriousness. Our special guest was Dr. Allen an Alcohol and Substance Abuse expert from Ridgeview Hospital in Georgia.
Dr. Allen providing lots of information on Alcoholism, and how it affects our community. The show was powerful!
Take a listen!
