Atlanta Police Officer Accused Of Demanding Sex Act From Georgia Tech Student
ATLANTA (WAOK)—An Atlanta police officer is currently under investigation after recent allegations from a Georgia Tech student claiming an officer demanded a sexual act in return for giving the student a ride to campus.
According to police, the incident happened after a Halloween party where the student had too much to drink and needed a ride back to campus. The student spotted the APD: Zone Two officer and asked for a ride to campus, and the officer agreed.
“On that ride, it is alleged that the officer insisted that a sex act be performed for payment for the ride back to the campus, said Atlanta City Councilman Michael Bond. Bond also stated this incident was “the worst, most horrible type of abuse of power” he could have ever imagined.
After the sexual act took place, the officer took the student to his fraternity house. After telling his fraternity brothers about the incident, he became upset and embarrassed and wanted to forget about it; however, it was his fraternity brothers encouraging him to report the incident.
Sources say the patrol car was examined and there were in fact bodily fluids found, which correlated with the story of the sex act. APD has confirmed there are both an administrative investigation and a criminal investigation on the unnamed officer.
The officer is still working, but is not allowed to patrol.
