Score Atlanta

A quarterback from this year’s Score 44 list saw his high school career come to an end last Friday, but a bright future awaits.Darlington’s Brad Butler threw for more than 200 yards with two scores in his final game, a 42-21 loss to Prince Avenue Christian. Butler considered accepting an invitation to walk on at Georgia before ultimately deciding to accept an offer from Wofford. He also held a scholarship from Presbyterian.

Another quarterback on the Score 44 that is looking to make a decision soon is Colquitt County’s Cole Segraves. The Packers’ passer is once again the starter and he has been hot of late. Look for even more offers to roll in for the 6-foot-3, 205-pound pocket passer if Colquitt County keeps winning. Segraves currently holds offers from FIU, FAU, Georgia State, Marshall, Miami (OH) and UCF, but if he can lead the Packers pastParkview, expect more colleges to give a look to the signal-caller that has mastered Rush Propst’s spread offense, an offense very common in college.

Auburn’s decision to let Gene Chizik go has certainly affected the Tigers’ chances with several Peach State products.Milton defensive end Carl Lawson has recently taken an unofficial visit and several online services say that Lawson is considering joining his teammate Peyton Barber at Ole Miss. The Rebels are considered the leaders for Grayson standout Robert Nkemdiche. Central Gwinnett’s Trey Johnson committed to Auburn very early on, but started to waiver when former defensive coordinator Ted Roof departed. Now Johnson is visiting schools all over the country including Ohio State, Florida, USC and, likely, Penn State. Finally, Lovejoy TE A.J. Jackson is now considering FSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, according to the AJC.
