‘Jack Boys’ Leader Gets Multiple Life Sentences For Crime Spree
ATLANTA - The leader of the so called ‘Jack Boys’ gang received life in prison without parole, plus 14 life sentences and 290 years in connection with a crime spree in 20-10, that included murder, rape, carjacking and armed robbery. 19 year old Tamario Wise will never be released from prison for the rampage that occurred between October and November of 2010. Wise and another defendant, Robert Veal were convicted for the most serious crimes, but Veal didn’t attend Wednesday’s sentencing because his attorney was absent. But he’s facing multiple life sentences, too. Prosecutors say during the crime spree, the men, killed Charles Boyer outside a Virginia Highland apartment during a robbery. A third defendant, 22 year old Fernandez Whatley was sentenced to 30-years for armed robbery, aggravated assault, hijacking a vehicle, false imprisonment and child cruelty for a home invasion he committed with Wise during the month long mayhem. Another man, Raphael Cross who testified against the defendants will be tried at a later date.
