(ATLANTA) – Atlanta police needs the public’s help in finding the person who killed an Atlanta businessman outside his home in southwest Atlanta.  Police say 39 year old Terry Porter was shot to death and was found in the driveway of his home on S. Gordon Street early Monday morning.  Investigators say neighbors reported hearing gunshots around 2:30am,  Detectives believe the motive was robbery,   because Porter’s cell phone and SUV are also missing.  Police say Porter’s 2006 Range Rover has a registered Georgia license plate number of  BIM 9827.  Police say they have not yet identified any witnesses to the crime.    Porter’s family says he was a family man who ran several businesses,  including an assisted living  facility in DeKalb county.   Police urge anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 404 577-8477.
