Truck From Georgia To Help Sandy Victims

ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – A large rental truck filled with donated supplies is scheduled to leave from Sandy Springs to help victims of Superstorm Sandy in the Northeast.

St. Judge the Apostle Catholic Church collected more than 100 boxes of clothing and loaded them into a large rental truck that hits the road Monday.

Tammy Connell says she has family in New Jersey and she wanted to do more than pray for them.

Another group collecting donations for hurricane victims doesn’t have a truck yet. Cece Garrison in Pine City says she’s been collecting donations for Seaford, N.Y., but she’s still looking to find a shipping company that will take several carloads of donated items.
