Donate To Help Victims Of Superstorm Sandy

ATLANTA (WAOK)-If you would like to donate to Superstorm Sandy victims you can donate by phone, online or text to one of several organizations.

You can make a financial donation to the Red Cross by visiting http://www.redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. The Red Cross is also asking for blood donations.

To donate to the Salvation Army, you can donate $10 by texting “STORM” to 80888.

You can also donate to AmeriCares’ relief fund on line at their website americares.org

World Vision is also accepting donations. You can text “GIVEUSA” to 777444 to make a $10 donation, or donate online to help.

Operation USA is helping victims in Haiti and Cuba, who were also deeply affected by the storm. In addition to donating online, you can text “AID” to 50555 to give $10.

International Medical Corp, is also coordinating efforts in Haiti.

United Way of Greater Atlanta is also accepting donations for Hurricane Sandy victims. You can donate online at uwsandyrecovery.org. A $10 donation can be made by texting the word RECOVERY to 52000.

So far 94 people in the US have died from Superstorm Sandy  and 71 have died in the Caribbean.
