ATLANTA (WAOK)—Fulton County continues to lead all of the Georgia counties with high early vote turnout.
Early voting for the November 6th General Election started October 15th and continues in Georgia until November 2nd. Fulton County offers six different locations around the Atlanta area allowing voters to cast their early ballots.
Voters spoke to us about the convenience of early voting ahead of the General Election.
“I work in and out of the area, so I figured I’d take advantage of the early voting,” said voter Justin Holloway. “I pretty much knew head on who I wanted to vote for, so the decision was easy.”
Fulton County is leading all other counties with almost 100 thousand votes cast so far. Some of the other top counties with high voter turnout include Dekalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Henry.
Gwinnett and Cobb Counties had problems with long lines for early voting. This week, however, that problem seems to have been alleviated with more locations available.
For more information about early voting refer to the Secretary of State’s website or your county board of elections website.
