Child Critically Injured By Tree Limb

WINDER – ( WAOK/AJC) – A two year old boy was critically hurt, after a tree limb fell on his head outside his daycare center in Winder on Monday.  

Police say Tripp Halstead suffered a severe head injury when the limb fell on him on the playground of the Cribs and Crayons Daycare Center, in Barrow county.  

He was knocked unconscious from the impact, and had to undergo emergency surgery.  

The child suffered a fractured skull,  and he was air-lifhted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston,  where on Monday night,  he was still on life support.
