Teen Who Wrecked Ferrari Dies Of His Injuries
ALPHARETTA – Police say the teenager who crashed his new red Ferrari last week, that escaped from the burning wreckage, has died of injuries he suffered in the accident. 18-year old Akshay Panducherry was burned over 80-percent of his body, after crashing the car, while police said he was speeding on Webb Bridge Road. Investigators say Panducherry and his 21 year old cousin were in the car, near Alpharetta High School, when they say he lost control, ran off the road and into the woods, where the car caught fire. The teen and his passenger, crawled from the wreckage and waited for medical help. The $170,000 dollar car was a total loss. Police say Panducherry received the car as a gift from his father for his birthday.
