ATLANTA (WAOK) -  Police in the Atlanta area are searching for a man who went into the World Changers Church in College Park and started shooting, killing one person.

Authorities say the victim is a 39-year-old church volunteer.  They say the suspect walked into a church chapel during the morning bible study and started shooting.  The victim was on stage leading the bible study.

The suspect is  identified as 52- year old Floyd Palmer who had recently resigned from the church.

The World Changers Church is one of the mega-churches in the Atlanta area and is led by well known minister Creflo [[ KREF-low ]] Dollar.

Police say Dollar was not at the church at the time of the shooting.
